How to reach the church
Muthamizh Nagar lies in Kodungaiyur, in the north of Chennai, between Erukkanchery and Madhavaram.
By train
The nearest suburban stations are on the Chennai Beach–Gummidipoondi line. From the station take an auto or a share auto to Kodungaiyur, Muthamizh Nagar.

By car or auto
Approach via the Erukkanchery high road or from Madhavaram. Ask for “Muthamizh Nagar church” — it is a local landmark and every auto driver in the area knows it.
Street parking on North Avenue; limited during the feast.
Landmarks to look for
A white church on a corner site, with a tall open steel bell tower topped by a red illuminated cross, a gilded dome over the shrine at the gate, and a golden flag mast (kodimaram) standing in front of the façade. At night the crosses are lit in red and are visible from some distance.

Speak to the parish priest. For marriages, allow at least three months — and please talk to the priest before booking a hall or printing invitations. For a death in the family, telephone at once, at any hour.
Give the name and the intention at the office a few days in advance. Requests for prayers for the sick can be left at any time, and are remembered at Mass and in the anbiyams.
Enrol children for catechism at the office at the start of the year. To join the choir, the Legion of Mary, the youth movement or any other group, speak to the priest after Mass and you will be introduced to the right people.
Baptism, confirmation and marriage certificates are issued by the parish office. Please allow a few days, and bring proof of identity. If the sacrament was received in another parish, you will need to apply there.
Offerings may be made at the church or at the office. If the parish wishes to publish bank or UPI details for online giving, they can be added here.
